Designed by David Vernon Architects, this early Art Deco duplex underwent a thoughtful renovation and extension, with a new mid-century-inspired addition built around a majestic oak tree at its centre. The design honours the original character of the home while embracing contemporary living.
The oak tree, a central feature of the courtyard and rear living area, provides natural shade in summer and dappled light in winter, connecting the home to the rhythm of the seasons. The result is a warm, layered space that feels both grounded in history and refreshed for modern life.
